We’re partnering with Tongal to provide $3,000 in finishing funds to a filmmaker or animator in our community. So whether you are looking to hire a colorist, score your project, or create poster art to advertise it – this opportunity is for you!
Must be a Black Film Space member to qualify.

AFRO FUTURE FILM COMPETITION
We partnered with Afrofuture for a short film contest in Ghana. Five winners were invited to attend the Afrofuture Film Competition in January 2nd 2024.

CLIVERD PROOF OF CONCEPT
SHORT FILM GRANT
Black Film Space partnered with cliveRd, a studio focused on producing and building in media, on a Proof of Concept Short Film Grant worth $10,000.
Marielle Ingram was awarded the grant at our annual awards gala and is currently working on a sci-fi short film entitled Seeker.
Nice shoes
We partnered with Nice Shoes for a post production coloring grant to give away 20 hours of professional colorist services.
Zahri Josita Jackson won her film Shelter.
